• Job Responsibilities of NWO-BB&IN Unit
  • Managing operations and maintenance of all Broadband & IN network assets
    o NWO-BB & in assets defined as
    All Broadband aggregation and access devices (such as BNG, T1, T2, DSLAMs, CPEs, etc)
    All fixed line IN Systems such as SCPs, SRPs
    O &M of Broadband
    oFormulation of policy, issuing of instructions and fixing Quality of Service (QoO) parameters for operations and maintenance of Broadband
    oMonitoring Broadband provisioning, operation & maintenance
    oMonitoring Broadband fault attending & Clearance by field units
    Liaising with heads of Network for Broadband Access at Circle and Region for undertaking fault repair
    o Ensuring SLA adherence on operations of Broadband network assets across Circles

  • Defining specifications for procurement of equipment and materials required for Broadband network maintenance (as and when required)

  • Formulation of policy for engaging services of external agencies (as and when required ) for Broadband network maintenance.

  • Monitoring of deployed Broadband network assets which are being utilized by Circles
    oResults to be incorporated into overall plan for Broadband network modification and expansion

  • Issuing guidelines for Broadband inventory management and allocation

  • Managing all affairs related to Broadband services, including
    oPolicy matters relalted to operation and maintenance of Broadband
    o Fixing quality of servie paramenters for Broadband performance
    oAnalysis of technical problems in maintaining Broadband systems and finding out solutions
    oEscalating critical issues in Fixed Line IN o & M to Director (Consumer Fixed Acess)-CFA
  • O & M of Fixed line IN Services
  • Managing all affairs related to fixed Line IN Services, including
    oPolicy matters related to operation and maintenance of all IN Systems including SCPs and SRPs and also monitoring their performance and modernization
    oPolicy matters related to all IN Services including various Pre-paid and Post-paid services
    oFraming policy regarding all issued related to maintenance of IN Services
    oIssue of instructions to all field units for proper maintenance of IN Services
    oTarget assignment to all field units and monitoring of achievements
    oDeal with Tariff plan, numbering plan for various IN services
    oAllotment of SCP & SP codes with metering, non-metering for various IN services
  • Formulation of policy, issuing of instructions for operations and maintenance of Fixed Line IN
  • Engaging and monitoring centralized vendors for Fixed Line IN network maintenance against pre-defined SLAs (liaising with relevant sections for the same)
  • Issuing guidelines for Fixed Line IN inventory management and allocation
  • Monitoring of deployed Fixed Line IN assets which are being utilized by Circles.
    oResults to be incorporated into overall plan for Fixed Line IN network modification and expansion
  • Escalating critical issued in Fixed Line IN o M to Director (Consumker Fixed Access) - CFA
