Economic times Brand equity survey (Brand equity- December 15, 2004) has declared BSNL as most trusted Telecom brand of the Nation. ET states " We have government owned telecom giant BSNL usurping the top spot from last year's leader Reliance India Mobile". BSNL as a brand is number 3 across all service brands and is at number 90 across all Indian brands much ahead of its competitors Reliance and Airtel which occupy 115 and 124 position respectively on All brands list.
